AREi has signed a mutual agreement for the development of solar power generation with the Tainan County Government. The first phase in the Liuying Environment Science and Technology Park includes the construction of a 100kW HCPV solar farm, which is expected to be online in mid 2009. AREi has signed a mutual agreement for the development of solar power generation with the Tainan County Government. The first phase in the Liuying Environment Science and Technology Park includes the construction of a 100kW HCPV solar farm, which is expected to be online in mid 2009. It will generate 700KW-h daily, and decrease 160 tons of carbon dioxide yearly. This project represents the first commercial grade solar farm ever built in Taiwan. Future projects in this park are projected to reach 1MW.
